The stereo is on. I tell him he can turn it off since he's turned on the tv.
He says, "Didn't I do that?"

"Well," says I, "it's playing, so I think not."

"Oh," he says, "I just thought it was the voices in my head in tune for a change."

And another day has passed successfully.
